International Training for Horizon 2020 Newcomers
“Fit for Health 2.0” (www.fitforhealth.eu), a European initiative supporting researchers in all stages of Health research and results valorisation, is organizing a free of charge full-day international training addressing newcomers to “Horizon 2020”, the Framework Program for Research and Innovation of the European Commission.
The event will provide concise and comprehensive information on the opportunities and rules of European research funding in Horizon 2020. It addresses everyone involved in biomedical, clinical and public health research: representatives and researchers from companies, universities, research institutes, hospitals, patient organisations etc. We specifically encourage researchers from Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in this training since in the Challenge “Health, demographic change and wellbeing” of Horizon 2020 SMEs play a more important role than before.
Apart from a general introduction to Horizon 2020 and the Challenge “Health, demographic change and wellbeing”, the program will feature presentations on funding instruments, consortium composition and how to find project partners. Furthermore, specific information particularly interesting for SMEs will be provided. The event will be executed by a team of European experts with vast experience in various Framework Programs of the European Commission.
The upcoming call for proposals for Health research is expected to be officially published in summer / fall 2015. If you consider participating in a proposal submission to this call and are not familiar with Horizon 2020 and general principles of EU Health research yet, this is your opportunity and perfect timing to jump on the train!
